Misleading car insurance company. Can i get a document off of them which will prove how many years no claims I have? So i can transfer to another company? (don’t use direct line) Thanks

I’m considering buying a salvage car which already has a rebuilt title and has passed through state inspection, all that’s left is to buy it. Buy I’m wondering if my insurance might go up because of it.
(by the way, all those commercials that says "get a free quote" is crap)

I’m not sure what is meant by "salvage car".
If you mean that the car has already been written-off as a wreck, then I can safely say that your insurance will be much cheaper. But that it because you will not be able to insure the car comprehensively. You should still be able to cover for 3rd party damage and injury.
Example: A colleague of mine had a 1965 Mercedes in very good condition. It was insured for $5,000. After a severe hail storm the panels were covered with divots, though luckily no glass was broken. The repair bill would have been several times more the the insured value, perhaps $20,000 or more. So the insurance company wrote-off the car, paid him $5,000 and let him reinsure for 3rd party damage. So if he is in an accident, damage to the other car is covered. (Because his was already written-off, he won’t get any insurance payout for it and legally he cannot instruct the other driver to fix his car.)

Get thorough inspection from a motoring organisation. The State inspection might just be the basics, but a proper engineer’s test will find faults like a twisted chassis or poor maintenance that might not be obvious.

Hi, i am looking for a car that can do 0-60 in under 10 sec, but is in as low an insurance group as possible. Atm i want a Mitsubishi Galant 2.0, but that is group 13, if anyone can find anything under group 10 i’d be grateful.

I have no intention of frauding any insurance company so don’t mention that. Also no i am not a boy racer so no moral lectures please.

A little over a year ago I was cited for DUI. I got a lawyer, paid my fees, served suspensions, did community service and eventually reinstated my license. I also learned my lesson I figured my insurance provider would see the infraction and adjust my policy accordingly. Pretty much, when my insurance provider sent me a bill, I just paid it…never looking at the descriptions of coverage. I hadn’t heard of SR22 Insurance until last week when I was getting renters insurance , as I just moved to a new state. I told the agent I would talk to my auto insurance provider and see if it was something I needed. Get this, not even an hour later I was in an accident (no one hurt) due to weather conditions and hadn’t had the chance to call auto insurance agent. No one received a ticket, but I was deemed at fault because I failed to maintain control of my vehicle. My question is… What should I expect from my insurance company? Right now they’re saying I just have to pay my deductible.

it sounds like you have 2 things going on right now.
#1 you need an sr22 filing endorsed onto your current insurance policy
#2 you are concerned that the accident will be covered

#1 if you need an sr22 filing on your policy you would need to contact your agent or find a company that can issue an sr22 filing to the state on your behalf.

#2 if you are currently insured and have liability coverage and coverage for your vehicle inforce with your insurance company, the vehicle is listed on the policy and you as a driver are listed on the policy than you should be ok
